| 7/21/08 - Information security solutions provider Vesper Networks announced it is partnering with Napera Networks, a new network security company focused on network access control solutions for small and medium-sized enterprises. A Napera premier partner, Vesper is adding the Napera network access control solution to its strong portfolio of security products and services, which span encryption, identity federation, endpoint security, and wireless security, among other areas.
Napera recently launched its first product, the Napera N24, a network access control solution that includes a switch-based appliance and integrated online management service. The Napera N24 combines device health, identity enforcement, and guest access in a single easy-to-use and manage solution. Napera's line of integrated products and Web services enable companies to deploy wireless networking, guest access, and worker mobility programs while keeping the corporate network safe and secure.
"Like enterprises of all sizes, our customers have increasing requirements to enable the mobile employee in every way possible. With laptops moving into and out of the network, there is a new and increasing need for organizations to control how devices and users access network resources, protect sensitive information, and ensure the overall health of the network," said Dirck Schou, president, Vesper Networks. "We work with our customers to reduce complexity and make sure any products added to the infrastructure integrate seamlessly, and can be managed easily. Napera fulfills this with its direct integration with Microsoft NAP and other technologies."
Vesper Networks was founded by security industry professionals to help organizations overcome the security challenges introduced by the increased sophistication of hackers, regulatory compliance, and the migration of data from the intranet to the extranet. Vesper provides a range of services to its customers and represents leading security vendors as part of its comprehensive solution approach.
"With Vesper's vast experience working in security and with Microsoft technologies, they are an ideal partner for Napera as we build our market presence," said Margaret Dawson, VP of Marketing, Napera Networks. "Small and medium-sized enterprises are underserved in the network access control market, and Napera and Vesper together can help these organizations succeed at network security."
